2014-15 Anaheim Ducks preview

Anaheim Ducks tickets are the hottest thing in Northern California as the perennial powerhouse Ducks look to contend for the Stanley Cup once more in 2014. The Anaheim Ducks will square off against Pacific Division rivals like the San Jose Sharks, Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers and the defending Cup champion Los Angeles Kings. The Anaheim Ducks will also tackle all of the Western Conference’s best, as well as top teams from the East like the Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Islanders and Philadelphia Flyers. A visit to the Honda Center means you’ll be at the center of the action as the Anaheim Ducks fight for position amongst the NHL’s elite.

While the Ducks have bid farewell to retired superstars Saku Koivu and Teemu Selanne, their roster still boasts a wealth of talent up front, on defense and in goal. Ryan Kesler was acquired in the off-season in a trade with Vancouver and Dany Heatley was added as a free agent, joining the likes of Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry and Andrew Cogliano at forward. On defense, Cam Fowler, Bryan Allen and Francois Beauchemin lead the way and Anaheim is ridiculously deep – and young – in goal, with John Gibson, Igor Bobkov and Frederik Andersen all battling for playing time between the pipes.

The Anaheim Ducks captured the Stanley Cup in 2007 and have qualified for the playoffs in three of the last four seasons, including their current reign as two-time defending Pacific Division champions. Head coach Bruce Boudreau is entering his fourth season behind the Anaheim bench after parts of five seasons at the helm of the Washington Capitals and the veteran bench boss has the Ducks on the cusp of renewed Stanley Cup glory.

The Ducks were founded in 1993 and played their first 12 seasons as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, named after the famous Disney film. Their lone championship was captured in their first season following the rebranding, as the Ducks ousted the Ottawa Senators in five games to close out the 2006-07 season on top of the hockey world.
