Jimmy Buffett ticket info
Jimmy Buffett (sometimes misspelled Jimmy Buffet) recorded his first album in
1970 titled "Down to Earth", which describes the man, the myth and the music about as well as any other
term. Even though this title describes Buffett, it was not a huge commercial
success.
Not until his 5th album titled Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes would
Buffett break through into mainstream rock and country music success. That album
featured the hit song "Margaritaville", which is arguably one of the most played and
loved songs in the world, or not to get carried away, at least North America. As Buffett's success grew in
the late 70's and 80's his touring audience and fan base got bigger and bigger
and over the past 15 years Jimmy Buffett tours have amassed big enough
audiences for sold out football stadiums and even baseball
stadiums like Fenway Park, Citizen's Bank Park and Chicago's Wrigley Field.
The thing that makes a Buffett concert more enjoyable then say your average
rock or country music star is the party atmosphere. Fans from all over come to
party with Jimmy, his fans are known as Parrotheads. Parrotheads basically comes
from the laid back persona of Jimmy Buffett and his fans who may be seen wearing
a tropical shirt, flip-flops, or a hula/grass skirt. But not always, most fans
known as Parrot heads just love Jimmy's music and that's all you need to be a
true fan. Another great thing about Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer band is
that his music has a unique sound that isn't quite rock, country, reggae,
Hawaiian, or tropical, but more of a eclectic mix of all 5. This unique sound
also helps Jimmy Buffett concerts stand out and become more of a gathering then
just a concert. Jimmy Buffett lawn tickets are some of the most popular Buffett tix
usually because they are lower priced and general admission, allowing patrons to
bring either lawn chairs or mats to sit on and sit back, drink, party and enjoy
the music. Orchestra seating and loge seating is also popular and more expensive
because the demand for tickets to Buffett is so high and a lot of people,
especially avid fans want to get as close as they can to Jimmy and the stage.
