Tim Mcgraw short bio and info on the new Soul 2 Soul tour with Faith Hill
Tim McGraw was born May 1, 1967, in Delhi, La. Tim came to Nashville in 1989 and
debuted his self-titled album in 1992 on Curb Records. But He did not have a
major hit until 1994's Not a Moment Too Soon, Not a Moment Too Soon included the
controversial single "Indian Outlaw." He followed that up with his first No. 1
record, "Don't Take the Girl," and continued with "Down on the Farm," "Refried
Dreams" and the title cut. And then Mcgraw's albums really took off with
"All I Want" going multi-platinum in 1995 which included the No. 1 hit "I Like
It, I Love It." In 1996, McGraw teamed up with Warner Bros. recording artist
Faith Hill for the Spontaneous Combustion tour. It proved to be just that, as
McGraw and Hill were married in October 1996. McGraw's Everywhere earned the CMA
album of the year honors in 1998. The lead single, "It's Your Love," was the
first musical collaboration between McGraw and Hill. It held the No. 1 spot on
the Billboard country singles chart for six weeks, garnered the couple a CMA
vocal event trophy and won vocal event, video, song and single of the year at
the ACM Awards. More duets followed: "Just to Hear You Say That You Love Me" won
the 1998 ACM vocal event trophy, and "Let's Make Love" earned a Grammy. A Place
in the Sun debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard country and pop albums charts
in 1999. On the strength of the hits "Please Remember Me" and "Something Like
That," McGraw won his second Country Music Association album of the year award.
Already a popular headlining act, McGraw joined the George Strait Country Music
Festival and teamed with Asleep at the Wheel to record "Milk Cow Blues" for the
Grammy-winning Bob Wills tribute album Ride With Bob. McGraw picked up male
vocalist of the year honors at the CMA awards in 1999 and 2000. Following his
Greatest Hits, McGraw released Set This Circus Down in 2001, hitting No. 1 with
"Grown Men Don't Cry," "Angry All the Time" and "The Cowboy in Me." He also
filmed a video for "Angel Boy" and harmonized and helped produce Jo Dee
Messina's crossover hit, "Bring On the Rain."
McGraw and his touring band, the Dancehall Doctors, retreated to upstate New
York to record the 2002 studio album, Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors. The
first single, "Red Ragtop," suggested an abortion-related story line, although
the ensuing controversy didn't hinder his career. He filmed the video to "She's
My Kind of Rain" in London, and his 2003 tour featured more than two hours of
music, without an opening act. Mcgraw has also toured as recently as the summer
of 2006 in major U.S. cities but his 2006 tour will also feature his wife and
all star country singer in her own right, Faith Hill.
2006 Tim Mcgraw and Faith Hill tour info
Tim's 2006 tour is sure to be a good one, he is teaming up with his fellow
country superstar wife, Faith Hill for the Soul2Soul II tour. Faith Hill
has also had an all star country career and the concerts with
Faith Hill and
Tim Mcgraw should be great. The stage setup is a sight to see as it will be in
an "concert in the round" event where every seat on the floor and lower
level are good seats and Tim and Faith will most likely use all of the stage to
sing duets and their famous solo songs. The stage is also rumored to have
ramps going down to the floor, giving the audience a closer look and better view
at the duo as they sing all of their hits. ABC tickets can put you right up
front for the Faith Hill and Tim Mcgraw Soul2Soul tour in great seats on the
floor to less expensive lower level and upper level seating, order online above

Latest News on the Faith Hill and Tim Mcgraw tour - Soul II Soul tour
“We’re thrilled to be getting back out on the road together,” said Tim Mcgraw and Faith Hill in a joint statement. “We’ve been looking forward to this moment since we wrapped Soul2Soul in 2000. It’ll be great to finally be able to share, with our fans in State College, what we’ve been working on together for the past few months; some fantastic music and a mind-blowing stage production.”
The couple last appeared together in State College on September 8th at The Bryce Jordan Center as part of their “Soul2Soul” Tour 2000. The performance was sold-out, and while Tim has made several appearances there since, Faith has never performed solo at the Bryce Jordan Center.
The mega-tour, which is expected to include more than 70 concert performances, will kick off on April 21st at The Nationwide Arena in Columbus.
The show will include never before seen performances, as well as the music that has become synonymous with McGraw and Hill over the past decade. It follows the March 28th release of McGraw’s Reflected: Hits Vol. 2 and last year’s release of Fireflies, Faith’s 3-time Grammy Award nominated critically hailed, multi-platinum 3rd consecutive #1 album release.
More than 60 million albums sold, six Grammy Awards, 17 American Music Awards, 22 Country Music Association Awards and 16 Academy of Country Music Awards, 11 #1 albums and more than 35 #1 singles, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are not just country music’s reigning first couple, they are each, in their own right, one of their generation’s most successful performers.
