Chicago White Sox
Chicago White Sox tickets on sale now!
The Chicago White Sox have gotten off to an uneven start this season. They started the season off, playing as two jets unveiled a banner commemorating the teams World Series win in 2005. Certainly noteworthy considering it was the cities first since the early 1900's. But the team would end up bruised and battered. What's in store for the windy city's favorite team? Only Chicago White Sox Ticket holders know.
Take Me Out to the Ballpark with Chicago White Sox Tickets
At a recent game Mark Buehrle, #56, the left handed starting pitcher, left the game with a bruised forearm. At the top of the second inning against the Cleveland Indians Buehrle was hit directly to his left forearm and had to leave the game. As he walked off the field it was obvious that the arm was already beginning to swell. The injury is listed as not being serious but could cause some major shakeups in the roster at the Chicago White Sox's next game.
But Mark Buehrle was not the only injured Chicago White Sox player at that days game. A. J. Pierzynski, controversial as always, was also hit this time by an errant pitch from Cleveland Indians pitcher Hernandez. Regardless of the injuries the White Sox went on to win the game.
A win is still a win, but the team seems to have lowered its expectations since last year. Their division is tougher then usual, especially with a much improved Cleveland team to beat. What the Chicago White Sox have on their side though is that hey have added 2006 Comeback Player f the Year, Jim Thorn to the middle of their order and Javier Vazquez in the starting rotation.
One Good Reason for White Sox Tickets
Whether they win or lose Chicago White Sox tickets are always in demand, if only to see the antics of catcher and professional wrestler A. J. Pierzynski. Some fans love his spirit, and his uneatable desire to win, others have labeled him one of the most hated players in the game. Pierzinski has been accused of kneeing other players, flipping bats to show up the other team, and several other altercations. Perhaps not too surprisingly Pierzinski has even appeared on the Jerry Springer Show as a security guard.

It doesn't get better than winning the World Series as anyone buying Chicago White Sox tickets can tell you. Since Manager Ozzie Guillen has taken over the team, a new era has begun at U.S. Cellular field. Guillen, who played for the team for sixteen years between 1985 and 1997, has created an upbeat, winning atmosphere that has led the White Sox to a World Series Championship. After winning a league leading 99 games last year, the regular season came down to an exciting final week, but the White Sox only seemed to grow stronger as the season drew to a close. With 8 days left before the regular season ended, the White Sox led the division rival Cleveland Indians by only one game and with 93 wins had not even guaranteed a wild card spot. While the Indians flopped, the White Sox won 6 of those last 8 games, winning them the division. From there they where unstoppable as they went on to beat the Boston Red Sox, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and the Houston Astros, losing only one game in the process, to become the World Series Champions. While last year's accomplishments exceeded expectations, there is no reason to believe that they can not be repeated. Chicago not only has most of its team returning, but the few changes that were made were probably improvements. Many thought first baseman Paul Konerko would leave via free agency, but the White Sox resigned him to a multi-year contract which will keep him in the same infield with Tadahito Taguchi, Juan Uribe, and Joe Crede. Catcher A.J. Pierzynski also signed a lofty contract and will be staying with the team. Jermaine Dye and Scott Podsednik will return to the corner outfield positions, but Aaron Roland was traded to Philadelphia for slugging DH Jim Thome who will replace Frank Thomas and Carl Everett. Replacing Roland in the outfield will be young standout Brian Anderson. With the exception of Orlando Hernandez being traded for Javier Vasquez, the pitching rotation remains the same with Mark Buehrle, Freddy Garcia, Jose Contreras, Jon Garland, and Brandon McCarthy ready to step in if needed. While there is some inexperience in the bullpen, Ozzie Guillen has shown he can survive without a designated closer and make use of pitching match-ups. With most of the team returning, the WhiteSox are certainly looking forward to this season. White Sox tickets will be in high demand as Chicago will try and repeat their World Championship performance.
