COLORADO ROCKIES TICKETS

Reasons to Buy Rockies Tickets

It’s a new season for the Colorado Rockies and they are gearing up for a fantastic year in the field. Buying up all the tickets at Coors Field on opening day this year, the fans seem to be gearing up, too. With the Rockies showing some fresh faces and building confidence towards a title, fans are not hesitating to pick up their Rockies tickets early this season.

The Rockies are breaking some new talent into the majors, building a strong homegrown team in Denver that is sure to shake some ground in the 2007 season. Newcomer Rodrigo Lopez is turning heads as the new starting pitcher for the Rockies, showing critics he has more to offer than they may have expected. Matt Holliday is holding strong at the plate and taking advantage of Coors Field, known for being a hitter’s ballpark. There’s no doubt that Holliday will be sending some home run souvenirs for the fans this year, at least for the ones who are holding Rockies tickets.

Take Me Out to the Ballpark with Coors Field Tickets

If you ever wanted to catch a home-run game, the place to see the action is at Coors Field in Denver. With a known reputation for hitting easy homers, fans love catching games on the Rockie’s turf. Matt Holliday is a crowd favorite, often taking advantage of the high elevation and low air pressure to knock a few balls out to the fans. Coors Field tickets are great for all fans and baseball admirers, especially those who like a little homerun fun!

Tickets are Selling Fast for These Frenzied Match-Ups

If there’s one thing that clashes in Denver, it’s the Diamondbacks. Ever since their first match-up in 1998, the Rockies don’t mesh with the Diamondbacks, nor do the fans. When the Arizona team visits Coors Field in May and for the final match-up in September, ticket holders to these games are going to be thrilled to see these rivals bat it out. Also expect some eagerness from fans to catch the Dodgers attempt to push around the Rockies on their field. Don’t let the homegrown Denver team fool you; they probably got a few tricks you haven’t seen… yet.

Denver, The Mile High City, is one of America’s hottest spots for skiing and winter fun, but it’s also a hot spot for professional sports of all kinds. Denver is the home city to the Nuggets, the Broncos, the Colorado Avalanche, and even the professional soccer team, the Colorado Rapids, but if baseball is your game, then you best get Colorado Rockies tickets.

From the first game in 1993, when the Rockies hosted Montreal at their temporary home of Mile High Stadium, the Denver fans have fully supported this team and kept the stadium at or near sell out levels. The proof of Denver’s love of the Rockies came on the record setting day of April 9, 1993 when every one of the 80,277 seats in Mile High Stadium was filled with a fan. Unfortunately for 20,000 fans per game, in 1995 the team moved into its permanent home of Coors Field, which can hold a maximum of just over 50,000 fans per game. The smaller number of seats definitely made Colorado Rockies Tickets much more desired.

Although Coors field has less of a seating capacity, it was a site made solely for baseball and the Rockies kicked off their life in Coors Field in an impressive manner. In the 14th inning against New York, Dante Bichette hit a three run homer to win the game. Because of the exciting play of the Rockies a streak of 203 consecutive sell out games was begun in June of 1995. This outpouring of fan support for the Colorado Rockies and Baseball in general was probably a big reason why Coors Field was chosen as the site of the 1998 All-Star game which featured players like Ken Griffey Jr. and Mark McGwire.

Winning it all has not been the fortune of the Colorado Rockies as of yet, but they have had excellent award winning players. One player of note is Larry Walker, who in 1997 won a Golden Glove award. For the same season he also won the MVP award for the National League, the first Colorado Rockie, as well as the first Canadian, to do so.

Due to injuries and some shake ups within the organization the Rockies finished in last place in the National League West Division last year, but with all the young talent that the Rockies had on the field in 2005 this could be their best year yet. The NL West division has a lot of question marks, so the Colorado Rockies could easily be a quiet favorite. I’d get your Colorado Rockies tickets before that happens, as the hottest team in town tends to heat up fast and sell out even faster.
