More Than One Reason to Get Cardinals Tickets
With an overwhelming amount of triumphs over their extensive existence as a
team, the St. Louis Cardinals are building the anticipation for the 2007 season.
Winning the World Series against Detroit last year brings the expectations to an
all new level for the Cardinals this season. It’s no surprise that the Cardinals
tickets are in high demand this year.
The Cardinals are one of the oldest teams in the league, formed in 1900,
building a solid framework over the last 107 years. The Cardinals have proven
their talent with 10 World Series titles and a great amount of players added to
the Hall of Fame. The team has maintained their strength, stealing the World
Series from Detroit in 2006 after an incredible season comeback. Fans are eager
for another title this year and seats are filling up to show support.
Take Me Out to the Ballpark with Busch Stadium Tickets
Only in its second year, the new Busch Stadium is a must-see venue. Cardinals
fans are rushing to get this season’s Busch Stadium tickets to see their team
swing it out again for this year’s World Series title. Busch Stadium tickets
sold out every game in its opening year, so it’s no surprise that fans are
claiming their seats for the 2007 season. The $350 million investment gives fans
a great new city view of St. Louis and the Gateway Arch, unseen while attending
games at the old Busch Stadium.
Get Cardinals Tickets for These Key Match-Ups
For any baseball fan, it’s well understood that there’s a bit of a contention
between the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals. A rivalry that began
nearly 100 years ago still holds strong today. When the Cardinals and Cubs go
head-to-head, the tickets run out quick. The Cubs will be at Busch Stadium at
the end of April, July, and September, a spectacle for any baseball aficionado.
Lately, too, the Houston Astros have been causing a fuss with the Cardinals for
control of the Central Division. The Astros will make a couple attempts on the
Cardinal’s turf in May and September. The TV will sure leave you wishing you
were at Busch Stadium if you miss these intense match-ups!
The St. Louis Cardinals will be back in 2006. Cardinals tickets have been an
exercise in record keeping over the last few years with a seemingly unending
stream of players rotating through the roster. But the Cardinals have been
contenders and there’s no reason to think the 2006 MLB season is any different.
The Cardinals will, however, be depending on a small group of players to
produce. The lineup in St. Louis is good but probably not as deep as some other
clubs around the league. You’ll get to know your starters pretty well if you’re
in the stands of Busch Field on a regular basis, and that’s a good thing for
fans with St. Louis Cardinals tickets.
The St Louis Cardinals punched their way to the top of the National League’s
Central Division with a 100 win season in 2005. Then they powered their way
through the MLB Divisional Playoffs by blanking the
San Diego Padres. After a 5-3 opening game win in the League Championship
Series against the
Houston Astros though, the Cardinals slumped through a 3-game losing streak
from which they never really recovered. The Cardinals rallied in Game 5 to make
it interesting, as Albert Pujols decked a 2-run homer off
All-Star Brad Lidge with two outs in the 9th, but the Cardinals failed to
show up for Game 6, losing 5-1 in Busch Stadium.
The mainstay of the 2006 St. Louis Cardinals will once again be their pitching.
It’s a rare game in which the Cardinals pitching staff is seriously outclassed.
Cy Young Award winner Chris Carpenter is back, along with Mark Mulder. Carpenter
stayed healthy last year and developed a cut fastball to go along with a good
curve. Mulder has a variety of pitches, including several looks to his fastball,
a good but not great curve, and a changeup that he works in at opportune
moments.
Saint Louis Cardinals ticket holders know their birds can score. The question
for 2006 is whether the bottom of the lineup can contribute to the offensive
firepower of David Eckstein, Larry Bigbie, and Albert Pujols. Eckstein hit .294
and scored 90 runs in 2005, while Bigbie hit .239. It’s time for Bigbie to raise
his game at the plate though, as he’s got more talent than his numbers indicate.
There’s a charged atmosphere at Busch Stadium in 2006. The Cardinals let one
slip away in 2005, they know it, and the taste is still bitter. They’ll be back
in 2006, and the fans who can manage to sock away their Cardinals tickets before
the rush is on will be sitting pretty.
