Chicago Bulls info
The Chicago Bulls are back! Get your NBA tickets to the United Center as soon as
you can. Chicago loves their Bulls almost as much as they love overachievers.
This team represents the best of both words for Bulls ticket holders. The
current incarnation in Chicago is a group of college All-Stars who have managed
to translate their games to the next level. Led by Kirk Hinrich, who averages 17
points a game, the Bulls took the NBA by storm last year. Ben Gordon, Chris
Duhon, and Luol Deng, all NCAA All-Americans, have added even more college flair
to a team that does it with fast breaks and defense on a nightly basis.
The trick this year will be to advance past the first round in the NBA Playoffs.
The Bulls were nearly able to do so in the 2005 NBA Playoffs, but the Washington
Wizards prevailed in 6 games. Chicago Bulls ticket holders hope that things will
be different in ‘06.
It’s no secret that the Bulls were the greatest team of the 1990’s. Thanks to
Michael Jordan, Chicago came into power in 1990, and did not give up their crown
until the end of the decade.
Jordan started out with a team of no-name players who were either at the very
beginning or very end of their careers. Over time he found a mix of those
players that he could trust, and built them into champions. He started this
process with veterans John Paxson, and Bill Cartwright, as well as rookies
Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant. Through the course of their time together,
Cartwright and Paxson found a fountain of youth, and Grant and Pippen became NBA
stars on their way to three NBA Championships.
After a brief baseball hiatus, Jordan returned and mixed up a new batch of his
magic. This time Pippen was established as a star, and rebounding machine Dennis
Rodman was onboard, but His Airness had to make do with 2 other serviceable
veterans, Luc Longley and Steve Kerr. Three more championships followed,
punctuated by a last second shot by Jordan that sealed a championship and his
career with the Bulls.
Since Jordan’s departure, the Bulls stumbled through several lousy seasons until
2004-2005. This new face of the Bulls has a strong will to win. They have
already punched their tickets to the NBA Playoffs once, and now that they have a
taste, you can bet that they will be back. Buy your Bulls ticket, and watch his
young Chicago team get better and better.
