The NBA Slam Dunk contest and NBA 3 point contest will be held this year in
Houston, TX at the Toyota Center. Last year's dunk contest in Denver
featured the electrifying dunks of rookie Josh Smith and a magical shooting
night from the Phoenix's suns sharpshooter Quentin Richardson. Below are
the past results of the two star studded events which have featured such
unforgettable moments as Jordan and Dr. J Julius Erving's foul line dunks and
Larry Bird's dead eye shooting. The dunk contest has lost some of it's fervor in
the recent years but has received a revival with some of the new faces in the
NBA including Indiana's high flying Freddie Jones and the aforementioned Smith.
