Sugar Bowl Tickets are Always Sweet
As one of the top bowl games of the year, Sugar Bowl tickets yield some of the
sweetest returns in college football. In 2007 the Sugar Bowl featured an
especially interesting contest between Notre Dame and LSU. At the helm of the
Fighting Irish was Brady Quinn, the best quarterback to pilot Notre Dame since
Joe Montana. Quinn was having a sterling season, leading the Irish to a 10-2
season and a Top 20 ranking with wins over Penn State and UCLA. On the other
side stood JaMarcus Russell the triggerman from LSU. Russell was having his own
banner year with 28 touchdowns and engineering a huge win on the road at
Arkansas. Sugar Bowl tickets became the proving ground for two quarterbacks
competing to see which would be the jewel of the NFL Draft in just a few months.
As it turns out, JaMarcus Russell got the better of the deal as the LSU Tigers
went on to post a 41-14 Sugar Bowl win over the Irish. Russell threw for over
300 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Quinn delivered the only two scores of the
night with a pair of touchdown passes but saw limited success with only 148
yards as LSU’s defense and running game kept him off the field. Russell would
later go on to be the top pick in the draft by the Oakland Raiders while Brady
Quinn found a home with the Cleveland Browns.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish is once again back on top of the college football
scene. You can’t talk about the Irish without talking about quarterback Brady
Quinn. This future NFL #1 Draft Choice has almost single-handedly revitalized
Notre Dame football. In 2007 Quinn tossed 35 touchdown passes and only five
interceptions, making him one of the most accurate passers in the game today.
Quinn topped 300 yards in three games this season and never failed to break the
200-yard mark. He threw for five touchdowns against Michigan State and had two
other games where he threw for four touchdowns. Make no mistake, Brady Quinn is
the reason Notre Dame fans are getting a shot at Sugar Bowl tickets.
Just up the road from the Louisiana Superdome, home of the Sugar Bowl, is Baton
Rouge, where the LSU Tigers continue to be a prominent part of the national
college football scene. The Tigers prowl the SEC, play one of the most difficult
schedules in the country and just finished wrapping up a 10-win season. LSU
notched wins against Arkansas and Tennessee this season, two bowl bound teams,
and came within a whisker of beating a 3rd-ranked Auburn team on the road early
in the season. With the Sugar Bowl returning to New Orleans, it’s a special
treat to have the LSU Tigers playing a bowl game in their home state.
Get on down to New Orleans on January 3rd for what’s sure to be a Sugar Bowl to

Nokia Sugar Bowl tickets. For 72 years, the Sugar Bowl has put two of the top
college football teams in the nation on the field, and 2006 is no exception.
This time it’s the SEC Champion Georgia Bulldogs who’ll line up against the Big
East Champion West Virginia Mountaineers on the floor of the Georgia Dome on
January 2, 2006. Traditionally held in the Louisiana Superdome, the Sugar Bowl
landed in Atlanta after the Superdome was rendered unusable by hurricane
Katrina.
Regardless of the venue, the 2006 Nokia Sugar Bowl promises to be a beauty. The
Bulldogs battled their way to the sweetness of the Sugar Bowl and a #7 national
ranking by posting a 9-2 record in the regular season, highlighted by a
seven-game winning streak to start the season. After stumbling against Florida
and Auburn, Georgia rallied to three straight wins, including a 34-14 win over
the LSU Tigers in the SEC Championship Game. The Mountaineers boast an
undefeated Big East record and are 10-1 overall, having lost to only
third-ranked Virginia Tech. West Virginia comes into the Sugar Bowl ranked No.
11 in the country.
Throw history out the window because these two teams have never faced each
other, giving fans with 2006 Nokia Sugar Bowl tickets a live look at a college
football first. The 2006 Nokia Sugar Bowl also gives college football fans a
look at two rising young coaches. Bulldogs’ head coach Mark Richt is in his 5th
year at Georgia. He’s 52-12 at Georgia. The Mountaineers’ Rich Rodriguez is also
in his fifth year and has posted a 37-22 record with West Virginia.
For goodness sake don’t miss out on the 2006 Nokia Sugar Bowl. Year after year
the SugarBowl pits two of the top teams in the nation against each other. Teams
