Jumpstart your NFL experience with Buffalo Bills tickets from ABCTickets.com.
The Bills have been in rebuilding mode for the past couple of seasons, but the
foundation has been laid. Now, Buffalo Bills ticket holders can look forward to
seeing the finished product take on the rest of the National Football League.
Head coach Dick Jauron is entering his third season with the Bills and has
visions of returning this historic franchise to its rightful place atop the AFC.
It’s simply been too long since the Bills reached the playoffs.
2008 Buffalo Bills Tickets: Offensive Preview
The Bills will be relying heavily on second-year running back Marshawn Lynch,
who had a banner rookie campaign. He rushed for more than 1,115 yards and seven
touchdowns. Buffalo certainly believes that was only the beginning of a
brilliant career for Lynch. That’s good news for Bills ticket holders, who
really haven’t had a game-breaking running back since Thurman Thomas was
avoiding defenders at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Jauron is planning on turning the offense over to second-year quarterback Trent
Edwards. Out of Stanford, Edwards looked poised at times during his rookie
seasons, but he also showed sings of inexperience. With a year under his belt,
Edwards is hoping to improve on his numbers and solidify himself as a solid
starter in the NFL.
Speedster Lee Evans will be Edwards’ top target, but Bills ticket holders also
will be keeping an eye on rookie James Hardy. The Bills selected Hardy out of
Indiana in the second round. Hardy’s a big target and will be solid compliment
to the speed of Evans.
2008 Buffalo Bills Tickets: Defensive Preview
Defensively, the Bills added a mammoth run-stopper in defensive tackle Marcus
Stroud from Jacksonville. Stroud teamed up with John Henderson to help the
Jaguars' develop into one of the toughest run defense in the league. Bills
ticket holders are hoping Stroud can bring that kind of dominance to Ralph
Wilson Stadium.
Buffalo also improved it’s already talented secondary, with the addition Troy
State cornerback Leodis McKelvin. The Bills nabbed the playmaking corner in the
first round and have high hopes. At Troy State, McKelvin was not only solid in
coverage, but he was also a dynamic kick returner.
Top 10 Reasons to Buy Buffalo Bills Tickets
10. Surprise of the 2007 NFL Season: While not overloaded with big-name talent,
the Buffalo Bills could be one of the biggest surprises of the NFL season. Will
you be at the Ralph to experience it?
9. Ralph Wilson Stadium tickets: One of the most historic stadiums in the NFL,
venerable Ralph Wilson Stadium has played host to tons of memorable football
games. That certainly will continue this year.
8. Buffalo Wings: You simply can’t pick out Buffalo Bills tickets without
thinking about those tasty little chicken wings dipped in that delicious spicy,
tangy sauce. It’s the perfect combination: Buffalo wings and 2007 Buffalo Bills
football tickets.
7. 2007 Buffalo Bills Schedule: Check out the Bills schedule. It’s completely
loaded with big-time games, highlighted by the season opener against AFC
powerhouse Denver.
Broncos-Bills tickets certainly will be hot commodities around Buffalo.
6. Paul Posluszny: After sending veteran linebacker Takeo Spikes to
Philadelphia, the Bills chose his successor in Penn State’s Paul Posluszny.
5. Backfield by committee: The Bills said goodbye to the talented but unreliable
Willis McGahee, leaving a large void in the backfield. The “A-Train,” Anthony
Thomas is the most experienced returning rusher, but he’ll have to share playing
time with the Bills’ first-round pick.
4. Marshawn Lynch: The Bills snatched up the explosive Marshawn Lynch out of
California with the 12th pick in the first round of the NFL Draft.
3. J.P. Losman: The third-year quarterback out of Tulane showed signs of
progress last year. He completed 63.5 percent of his attempts and threw for 19
touchdowns. But Losman needs to take that next step and punch the Bills’ ticket
to the NFL Playoffs. In order to due so, he’ll need to cut down on his 14
interceptions.
2. Lee Evans: After plodding through two so-so seasons to begin his tenure in
the NFL, Evans exploded for a career year in 2006. The burner out of Wisconsin
torched defenses for 1,292 yards, averaging nearly 16 yards per reception.
Buffalo Bills ticket holders are expecting bigger and better things from Evans
in 2007.
1. Losman-to-Evans: The Bills could have the next great quarterback-receiver
tandem in their huddle. Losman hooked with Evans 82 times last season, leading
to eight touchdowns.
Buffalo Bills tickets are going to give you something a bit different this year.
The Bills who are usually a quiet off-season team, made a few rumbles this year
that may just pay some dividends. Buffalo was in desperate need of improvement
after managing only five wins last year and allowing a division-high 367 points
in the AFC East. The Bills front office also knew that they had to plan for the
future of their offense. If J.P. Losman was to be successful at quarterback, he
was going to need some help on from his receivers.
New head coach Dick Jauron and staff made two key offseason acquisitions. First
they went out and signed well-traveled wide receiver Peerless Price after
trading an under producing and cap space stealing Eric Moulds for a fifth round
pick. Price, who began his career in Buffalo, offers a speedy target for Losman
down field, adding an explosive element to the team that was missing in years
past.
Buffalo Bills tickets holders knew the team also had to solidify its running
game. Willis McGahee had shown flashes of brilliance over last season but his
lack of real consistency and durability questions gave cause for Buffalo brass
to sign running back Anthony Thomas. The hope in Buffalo is that the competition
will bring out the best in both backs and set the Bills up for a tandem
backfield.
Despite all their struggles, loyal fans load up on Bills tickets and pack Ralph
Wilson Stadium for every home game. Even though last year their squad more than
often fell short, hope springs eternal via the NFL Draft. The defense was the
key need heading into the draft as LB London Fletcher had to have help anchoring
a successful defense in the high scoring AFC. To that end the Bills held on to
the eighth overall pick in the draft and took Donte Whitner, strong safety out
of
Ohio State. Whitner has amazing range with a 40 inch vertical and 4.38 ‘40’
time that puts him in position to make plays. This addition alone should be a
large step in improving the Bills defensive showing in 2006, a year that holds
all the promises of potential and expectation for fans.

PAST WEEK'S BUFFALO BILLS TICKETS BUFFALO BILLS (5-7) TICKETS AT NEW YORK JETS (7-5)
4 p.m., Sunday
The Meadowlands
You have to love the Buffalo Bills. This is a team that just keeps losing but always loses well (if that’s possible) Really, no kidding. Yes the Bills are 5-7 but they are actually playing better than they have in years. Last week’s loss to a tough San Diego team proves the Bills can run with the big boys and look respectable. How long can it be before the Bills actually start winning some of these close contests? J.P Losman and Willis McGeHee are a good foundation for the future. The Jets will win of course but it’s not out of the picture for the Bills to pull off an upset.

How about those Bills? Dick Jauron’s club just keeps finding ways to win. Last week, it was Rosco Parrish’s electrifying punt return that sparked the Bills to a win over the Jaguars.
This week, quarterback J.P. Losman and the Bills will try to pull off their second straight upset when the red-hot San Diego Chargers come to town. Don’t expect too much out of this young group of Bills.

BUFFALO BILLS TICKETS (3-6) AT HOUSTON TEXANS (3-6)
1 p.m., Sunday
Reliant Stadium
The Buffalo Bills had the perfect plan to stop Peyton Manning last week. Only a missed field goal stood between the Bills and a win. It was disappointing, but you have to think that these Bills are on the right track. A few plays here and there and Buffalo could be looking at a winning record. That’s quite a change from the past few years. This should be a good quality game between two of the NFL’s lesser powers. The Bills have been playing well and the Texans are coming off a win over Jacksonville. But at home, and with Buffalo depleted by injury and coming off a heartbreaking loss, you gotta go with the Texans right? It’s a pickem, but confidentially, we like the gutsy Bills.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: Buffalo wide receiver Lee Evans (Last week: Evans — 5 catches, 70 yards)

The Bills nearly pulled it out against the only undefeated team in the NFL last week. This week, they take on an opponent of slightly lesser quality. Despite the loss of running back Willis McGahee, the Bills were able to move the ball effectively with Anthony Thomas. The Texans may be coming off an impressive win over Jacksonville, but they aren't very good. To be honest, neither are the Bills, but they're better than the Texans.

BUFFALO BILLS (3-5) AT INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (8-0) TICKETS

The Bills showed some resiliency in last week’s win over Green Bay. Buffalo played the majority of the game without leading rusher Willis McGahee, who was injured early in the contest. The Bills’ young secondary stepped up though. Ko Simpson picked off a Brett Favre pass in the end zone to help seal the deal for the Bills. That secondary will be tested against this week against Peyton Manning and the Colts. Don’t expect the Bills to make a passing grade on this test.

PAST WEEK'S BUFFALO BILLS TICKETS GREEN BAY PACKERS AT BUFFALO BILLS TICKETS 1 p.m., Sunday Ralph Wilson Stadium
Yeah, yeah, yeah, the Bills got pasted by New England in Week 7. So what else is new? To be honest we’re not looking for a whole lot of wins from this crew. All we want is some competitive fire and a few games close enough to say “They’re almost there.” We think we’re getting it. The Bills have played well enough to win in most games this year. J.P Losman is still learning but getting better. Willis McGahee is a legitimate NFL running back that has to be respected. What else can you ask for? When the Bills learn to win consistently, a trip to Ralph Wilson Stadium won’t be such a lark anymore.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (4-1) AT BUFFALO BILLS (2-4) TICKETS
1 p.m., Sunday

Just because you're a better team than you were last year, don't expect that to translate into wins in the NFL. While Buffalo is more competitive, they still haven't learned to ice anybody. That was evident last week when they fell to Detroit. Now they face the Patriots who won't give them the chance to get ahead. This is a good opportunity for Bills fans to see Tom Brady in action though.
