2008 Carolina Panthers Tickets
Carolina Panthers tickets may see the sun rise on a great season in 2008,
bolstered by lessons learned in a losing season and the addition of some key
pickups in the NFL Draft. It’s not an unusual scenario for Panthers fans. For
years they’ve watched their team wreak havoc on the NFC South and the NFL in
general for a season then fall far back in the pack the next. Prior to their
Super Bowl appearance the Carolina Panthers were the worst team in their
division. If the pattern holds true Panthers tickets could be a one-way ticket
to the playoffs.
Panthers Tickets Get a Boost in the NFL Draft
On paper, the Carolina Panthers had one of the best drafts in the league.
Looking for help in the running game after DeShaum Foster put up mediocre
numbers the Panthers turned to Jonathan Stewart of Oregon to beef up the power.
Stewart gained almost 3,000 yards for the Ducks despite playing in only 25 games
and should mesh well with the shiftier DeAngelo Williams. Keeping their eye on
the ground, Carolina opted for Jeff Otah, one of the higher ranked offensive
linemen to open holes for their new back. Two linebackers, Dan Connor and Hilee
Taylor, fill an obvious need and Panthers ticket holders should see an improved
defense in 2008.
2008 Carolina Panthers Schedule
Looking at the lineup of teams heading for Bank of America Stadium, you can’t
help but be excited about Panthers tickets. First of all there’s the usual gong
of NFC South competition. The New Orleans Saints, with one of the NFL’s most
potent offenses featuring Drew Brees and Reggie Bush, will show on Oct. 19th.
Tampa Bay hits town Dec. 8th. You can also catch the Chicago Bears, Kansas City
Chiefs, and Denver Broncos at Bank of America Stadium in 2008. The Detroit
Lions, Atlanta Falcons, and Arizona Cardinals round out the home schedule. With
that kind of lineup, and an improved running game to go with it, Carolina
Panthers tickets are a sure way to see some great NFL football
2007 Carolina Panthers Tickets – On the Prowl
1) Bang for the Buck - Carolina Panthers tickets are always a good bet for NFL
fans. The Panthers play tough, old fashioned football, with just enough flash to
get the job done. The Panthers struggled last season, which is all the more
reason to get Panthers tickets. Remember when Carolina went from 1-15 to the
Super Bowl?
2) Delhomme Returns – Jake Delhomme may not be the most exciting player around
but he’s perfect for the John Fox offense. That was evident in 2006 when
Delhomme went down and Chris Weinke took over. The resulting swoon killed the
Panthers playoff hopes.
3) David Carr – How can a backup quarterback be this important? Panthers ticket
holders can give you the answer to that question. David Carr is a much better
quarterback than Weinke ever was. That’s important in the injury prone NFL. But
even more important is the fact that Carr will push Delhomme to keep his
starting job.
4) Steve Smith – The guy is unstoppable. Despite being the focus of every
defense the Panthers meet, Steve Smith still managed to notch over 1,000 yards
and eight touchdowns in 2006. Now Smith is locked down for the future after
signing a new contract. If you’re in Bank of America Stadium, keep your eyes on
#89.
5) Dwayne Jarrett – After saying goodbye to Keyshawn Johnson, the Panthers
nabbed their franchise possession receiver with the choice of Dwayne Jarrett in
the 2nd Round of the NFL Draft. The USC bred wideout is a prototype NFL go-to
guy.
6) Dan Morgan Returns – The Panthers missed linebacker Dan Morgan sorely in
2006. But Morgan is back in 2007 and claims to be healthier than ever after a
year and a half on the sidelines. Having Morgan in the middle is the Panthers
ticket to improvement on defense.
7) Jon Beason – Carolina may love having Dan Morgan back but Beason is the
future. The #1 draft choice gives the Panthers insurance on Morgan. But if
Morgan stays healthy, and John Fox gets the pair of them on the field together,
opposing offenses have a tough nut to crack.
8) The Battle – Who will start at running back for the Carolina Panthers? Both
DeAngelo Williams and Deshaun Foster have shown flashes of talent, but neither
seems durable enough to last a season. They’ll more than likely split time if no
clear winner emerges in camp.
9) The NFC South – Carolina Panthers tickets are your pass to see some great NFC
South rivalries. The NFC South has put a team in the NFC Championship for five
straight years. The Panthers, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have
each had their turn. Who will it be in 2007?
10) Head Coach John Fox – John Fox is one of the most respected coaches in the
NFL. Year after year he puts a tough, competitive team on the field. After
tasting a Super Bowl a few years back, Fox wants that Lombardi Trophy at home in
Bank of America Stadium.
THIS WEEK'S CAROLINA PANTHERS TICKETS
CAROLINA PANTHERS TICKETS (7-8) AT NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (10-5)
1 p.m.
The Louisiana Superdome
Early in the season this was viewed as a crucial game in the NFC South. But New Orleans surprised everyone by clinching the division and a #2 seed in the NFL Playoffs. Carolina surprised everyone by folding their tents. The Panthers did pull of a win against Atlanta last week using the ground game almost exclusively. A win here depends on New Orleans protecting their starters for the playoffs. We don’t think that will happen as the Panthers limp through a disappointing season.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: Carolina has to keep the ball away from a high powered Drew Brees. Take DeShaun Foster.
ABCTickets.com is here to take you all the way to the playoffs with our large inventory of NFL football tickets, our expert predictions and our fantasy football tickets to victory.
We know why you’re here looking for Carolina Panthers tickets — Steve Smith. We
don’t blame you either. Who doesn’t want to catch a live glimpse of the best
receiver in football? T.O. who? While the former
Eagle and current
Dallas showboat was sitting out last season, Smith rambunctiously took over
the spotlight. What does he have in store for an encore in the 2006 NFL season?
Find out by picking up your Carolina Panthers tickets today.
Smith’s breakout season was filled with highlight-reel plays and unique
touchdown celebrations. The former Utah standout missed most of the 2004 season
with a leg injury. Thirteen touchdowns later, he appears to be completely
healthy. Smith racked up more than 1,500 receiving yards in 2005. He was
especially potent in the playoffs. He torched the
Chicago Bears for 218 yards and two touchdowns in the second round and
danced all the way to the NFC title game.
The Panthers’ season would end there at the hands of the
Seattle Seahawks. In 2006, head coach John Fox will be looking to take that
next step. He’ll have steady quarterback Jake Delhomme at the helm of an offense
that looks awfully similar to the 2003 Panther unit that went all the way to the
Super Bowl.
Delhomme threw for more 3,400 yards and 24 touchdowns last season. Running back
DeShaun Foster, despite starting just five games, ran for more than 800 yards.
If Foster keeps up that pace and is able to play a full season, the Panthers
will be in good shape. But if the pesky injury bug does bite Foster, Carolina
appears to be in good hands with first-round draft pick DeAngelo Williams. The
Panthers traded up in the 2006 draft to nab Williams. The Memphis product
shouldn’t disappoint. Williams ended his college career as the NCAA all-time
total yards leader. He’s as effective catching passes as he is running between
the tackles.
But it’s the defense, not the offense, which will be the Panthers’ ticket back
to the Super Bowl. Led by All-Pro defensive end Julius Peppers, Carolina’s
defense promises to leave opposing quarterbacks feeling blue. Watch out for
linebacker Dan Morgan, too. The former
Miami Hurricane has a habit of giving offenses fits as well.
The Panthers are one of the favorites in the NFC. So don’t wait to too long
before reserving your Carolina Panthers tickets.

CAROLINA PANTHERS TICKETS (6-8) AT ATLANTA FALCONS (7-7) TICKETS
1 p.m.
The Georgia Dome
The Carolina Panthers were touted as Super Bowl contenders in the pre-season. Over the last few games they've been toilet bowl contenders. Can they rally the troops and put up a respectable showing this week against a Falcons team battling to keep its playoff hopes up? We don't think so. Will Delhomme return to quarterback the Panthers and lift the offense out of the doldrums? Maybe. We still don't think the Panthers can stop Vick and the Falcons running attack playing like a bunch of sore losers.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: If Delhomme returns play him. Otherwise take DeShaun Foster and pray.

PAST WEEK'S CAROLINA PANTHERS TICKETS
CAROLINA PANTHERS (6-4) TICKETS AT PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (5-6)
8:30 pm, Monday
War Memorial Stadium
The Carolina Panthers are in a must win situation. In giving up the ghost against Washington last week they also surrendered the lead in the NFC South to the Saints. New Orleans figures to win against San Francisco so the Panthers have to win just to keep within a game of the Saints. Are you paying attention? Luckily, the Eagles can all but pack it in now that McNabb is hurt. And looking at the way the Eagles defense played against Indy it appears the players know the score. Still, the Eagles will be paying close attention to the way the Redskins shut down Steve Smith. If they can mirror that performance then maybe, just maybe….Naah.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: Carolina wide receiver Steve Smith rebounds from only five catches in D.C (Last week: Smith — 5 catches, 34 yards, 1 TD)

PAST WEEK'S CAROLINA PANTHERS TICKETS
CAROLINA PANTHERS (6-4) TICKETS AT WASHINGTON REDSKINS (3-7)
1 pm, Sunday
FedEx Field
Carolina is starting to look like the Super Bowl contender everyone thought they would be. The Panthers defense has come alive as of late, sacking Marc Bulger seven times in their 15-0 shutout of the Rams. The Panthers are now leading the NFC South by a half game. Traveling to Washington to play the schizo Redskins at FedEx Field is a big challenge though. But with the Panthers running game back on track, and the defense starting to jell, Carolina should have the edge against a Redskins team starting a young quarterback.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: Carolina wide receiver Steve Smith continues to spark the Panthers offense (Last week: Smith - 4 catches, 90 yards, 1 TD)

ST. LOUIS RAMS (4-5) AT CAROLINA PANTHERS (5-4) TICKETS
4 pm, Sunday
Bank of America Stadium
After a lackluster start to the season, Carolina showed signs of life in Monday night’s win over Tampa Bay. But the Panthers have a long way to go in order to prove that they’re Super Bowl contenders. All-Pro wide receiver Steve Smith will have something to say about that, when the Rams come to town on Sunday..br>
ABCTickets.com NFL Prediction: Carolina 27, St. Louis 23 (Last Week: 9-7/Season 91-54)
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: Carolina wide receiver Steve Smith (Last week: Smith — 8 catches, 149 yards, 1 TD)

PAST WEEK'S CAROLINA PANTHERS TICKETS
CAROLINA PANTHERS (4-4) VS. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (2-6) TICKETS
8:30 p.m., Monday
Bank of America Stadium
The Panthers need a win against Tampa Bay and they need it bad. New Orleans and Atlanta are running away with the division, and Carolina is falling quickly out of the race. Luckily, the Panthers are coming off a much needed bye week, and face a self-destructing Buccaneers team, who have a firm grip on last place in the NFC South. The Panthers 4-4 record has disappointed a lot of fans who had Steve Smith and the cats pegged as a Super Bowl contender. Don't give up on Carolina just yet, this team has all the tools it needs to succeed. On offense, there's Smith, Keyshawn Johnson and Jake Delhomme firing on all cylinders. And then on defense, there's the most athletic defensive end in all of football, Julius Peppers. Rookie Bruce Gradkowski will see no mercy from Peppers on Monday Night Football. The national stage may be just what the Panthers need to show the NFL that they are not done, and that they are still strong contenders for the NFC Championship.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: WR Steve Smith is one of the best in the business, and Carolina's key to victory. (Last week: Carolina Bye)

PAST WEEK'S CAROLINA PANTHERS TICKETS
DALLAS COWBOYS (3-3) AT CAROLINA PANTHERS () TICKETS
8:15 p.m., Sunday
Bank of American Stadium
In a matchup of two of the best receivers in the game, Steve Smith and the Carolina Panthers will play host to Terrell Owens and the Dallas Cowboys on Football Night in America. The Panthers couldn't find any offense in the second half in last week's loss to Cincinnati, but Smith and Jake Delhomme will be out to change that on Sunday Night football. Smith has been sensational since missing the first two games of the season and continues to put up numbers to match any receiver in the NFL.
Owens has picked up his game as well in recent weeks. He hauled in three touchdowns in a win over Houston and had another touchdown grab in last week's disappointing loss to the Giants.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: Carolina wide receiver Steve Smith is a one-man wrecking crew for the Panthers. (Last Week: Smith - 8 catches, 126 yards, 0 TD)

The Carolina Panthers are hot again after back to back wins including a streak ending victory over the unbeaten New Orleans Saints. Now they get the Cleveland Browns, widely regarded as a pushover but fresh off a win over the Oakland Raiders. Can Carolina keep their momentum? It sure looks good for Panthers fans with Steve Smith putting the Panthers offense back on track.

After last week’s hard-fought victory at Tampa Bay, the Panthers will look to continue their climb up the NFC South ladder. They’ll need a big game from quarterback Jake Delhomme, a Louisiana native, if the Panthers want to upend the red-hot Saints.

PAST WEEK'S CAROLINA PANTHERS TICKETS
Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
1 p.m., Sunday
Raymond James Stadium
The hipster pick to go to the Super Bowl in the preseason, the Carolina Panthers
are struggling to get out of the bottom of the barrel in the NFC South. Luckily,
they face the hapless Buccaneers who have scored a grand total of three points
this season. Look for DeShaun Foster to have a huge game against a Bucs defense
that gave up over 300 yards on the ground to the Falcons in week 2. One of these
teams is going to go 0-3 this week, and its not going to be the Panthers,
especially if Steve Smith is healthy.
ABCTickets.com NFL Prediction: Panthers 13, Buccaneers 7
(Last week: 13-3/Season: 33-9)
