Detroit Lions Tickets - Quite a Start
Detroit Lions tickets are finally paying off for the faithful. The Lions are 3-1
and have put up impressive wins against the Raiders, the Vikings, and crazily,
the Chicago Bears. It's games like the Bears game that can change the whole
attitude of a team and set them off on the winning track. Looking good in
Detroit.
Hot Lions
Jon Kitna - Finally getting some long awaited accolades in Detroit, Kitna is in
complete control of the Mike Martz offense. Over 1,200 yards and eight
touchdowns spells redemption for the grizzled veteran. Miracles aside, Kitna is
playing well.
Roy Williams - A #1 pick at wide receiver paying off for the Detroit Lions?
That's a miracle, Jon Kitna. (26 catches, 3 TD's)
Shaun McDonald - Another pass catcher that's making waves in the Mike Martz
system. (21 catches, 3 TD's)
Mike Furrey - No touchdowns but 20 catches. Are you seeing a trend here? The
Lions are doing it through the air.
Best Lions Tickets in October
On the road two games out of three in October, Buccaneers-Lions tickets are your
only chance to see your team at Ford Field this month. If you're the traveling
sort though, target Bears-Lions tickets for the contest at Soldier Field where
the Bears will be gunning for payback.
Top Ten Reasons to Buy Detroit Lions Tickets 1. First round WR Calvin Johnson - Can the Detroit Lions ticket to victory
be yet another first round wide receiver? You bet, and his name is Calvin
Johnson. The Georgia Tech star is by far the best prospect to come out of this
years draft class.
2. Potentially Explosive Offense - With wide receivers Roy Williams and Calvin
Johnson, and last year's surprise star Mike Furrey, the Lions have the potential
for an absolutely explosive offense.
3. NFC North is Up For Grabs - The Lions may not be ready to tackle the NFC
elite, but the NFC North is just about the weakest in football, and it wouldn't
be surprising if the Detroit Lions ticket to the playoffs came through this year
as NFC North champs.
4. Ford Field - As seen in the Super Bowl two years ago, Ford Field is a
beautifully constructed, modern stadium. Your Detroit Lions ticket gets you into
one of the most impressive professional football stadiums around.
5. RBs Kevin Jones and Tatum Bell - With the addition of new running back Tatum
Bell, the Lions have put together a two-head rushing attack that should keep
opposing defenses guessing.
6. QB Jon Kitna's Resurgence - Who would have thought that Jon Kitna could still
play so well? Despite the Lions' record, Kitna put together a great season
statistically, and impressively took every single snap last season. His
toughness just may be the Lions ticket to success.
7. Local Favorite QB of the Future Drew Stanton - When the Lions drafted
Michigan State quarterback Drew Stanton, fans knew they had their QB of the
future. Jon Kitna has made a carreer out of mentoring young quarterbacks, and
Stanton is sure to be a success in Detroit.
8. NFC North Rivalries - With a Detroit Lions ticket, you get a chance to see
the NFC Champion Chicago Bears, living legend Brett Favre and the Green Bay
Packers, and the Minnesota Vikings. What more could a football fan want in a
season?
9. Head Coach Rod Marinelli - Head Coach Rod Marinelli is entering his second
season with the Lions, and fans should see a lot more wins on the field as his
players learn and find success in the new system.
10. Nowhere to Go But Up - Let's face it, Detroit Lions ticket holders were
really let down by their team. But with the second-worst record in football, the
Lions were able to draft extremely well and build their team for the future.

DETROIT LIONS (2-13) TICKETS AT DALLAS COWBOYS (9-6)
1 p.m. Sunday
Texas Stadium
The Detroit Lions should just let this one go. Playing for a higher draft choice seems to be the right move for this franchise. But only of they get rid if Matt Millen. Why let the guy blow another high pick? Optimistically, the Lions have a shot at beating a Dallas team that doesn’t seem to want to win. To do that they’ll need another strong performance from Kitna and some ground attack to go along with it. We don’t think that will happen but what do Lions ticket holders have beside their dreams?
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: John Kitna had a strong performance last week against the Bears. He should do it again against a Cowboys secondary that’s been getting burned for weeks.

Despite a decade of losing seasons, the Motor City is roaring for Detroit Lions
tickets. The Lions are bursting with young talent and appear poised to make a
run in the wide-open NFC North. An electric group of wide receivers, featuring
first-round picks Mike Williams and Roy Williams, are the pride of the Lions.
They'll have a new quarterback to get them the ball in either Jon Kitna or Josh
McCown. The Lions' running game appears to be in good hands with third-year back
Kevin Jones carrying the load. It will be the job of new head coach Rod
Marinelli to get the most of the Lions' talent. Is he the right man for the job?
Pick up Detroit Lions tickets and head over to magnificent Ford Field to voice
your opinion.
Marinelli inherits a team that hasn't even sniffed the playoffs since the mighty
Barry Sanders was roaming the Lions' backfield. He'll be looking to change that
immediately. The former
Tampa Bay assistant helped build the Buccaneers defense, which has been one
of the best in the NFL over the past few years. Marinelli hopes to put the D
back in Detroit, while instilling an intense attitude into the Lions.
Offensively, Marinelli will hand the reigns over to former
Rams
head coach Mike Martz. Known as an offensive guru, Martz could be just the
person to pull together the Lions' offense, which has looked explosive at times
and pathetic at others.
With the Joey Harrington experiment over, Martz will have a pair of experienced
quarterbacks to orchestrate his high-powered, aggressive offense. Kitna spent
five seasons in
Cincinnati, the last two as Carson Palmer's backup. When he has had the
opportunity, the former World League star has been effective. He has thrown for
more than 3,000 yards four times in his career. So has McCown.
In four years in
Arizona, McCown completed better than 57 percent of his passes. He threw for
more than 2,500 yards in 2004, but was forced to split time with Kurt Warner
last season. With the Lions' receiving cast, Kitna and McCown could be poised
for career years in 2006.
The talent is oozing from the Detroit roster. But that's been the case for the
last couple of years with little to nothing to show for it. Will Marinelli be
the man to finally put the pieces together in Detroit? Find out by picking up
your Detroit Lions tickets today.

CHICAGO BEARS TICKETS (12-2) AT DETROIT LIONS (2-12)
1 p.m. Sunday
Ford Field
The best the Lions can hope for is that Grossman gives this game away. Seriously, the Lions have shown glimmers of hope this season but until the Lions get rid of Millen they'll be looking at playing with crappy draft choices. The long record of miscues in Detroit has to end soon doesn't it? Kitna is a solid backup, maybe even a halfway decent starter if you put some talent around him, but the Lions just keep drafting underperformers and miscreants. Maybe the team in the Motor City can pull off the upset of the year but don't bank on it.
ABCTickets.com NFL Prediction: Chicago Bears 31, Detroit Lions 20
(Last Week: 9-7/Season 116-67)
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: Play the Lions defense and pray for Grossman to flounder. Nobody on offense is worth playing.

DETROIT LIONS (4-9) AT BALTIMORE RAVENS (10-3) TICKETS
1 pm, Sunday
M&T Bank Stadium
The Ravens have visions of Super Bowls dancing in their heads. But they also are remembering the scare they received from the Browns earlier in the season.
Way back in Week 3, Baltimore snuck by the Browns 15-14. Cleveland had the ball deep in Ravens territory as time was running down, but Browns’ quarterback Charlie Frye was picked off in the end zone, ending the upset bid.
This week’s AFC North showdown won’t be as close.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: Ravens defense will make the Browns feel blue.

PAST WEEK'S DETROIT LIONS TICKETS MINNESOTA VIKINGS (5-7) AT DETROIT LIONS TICKETS (2-10) TICKETS 1 p.m., Sunday Ford Field
The Detroit lions are getting very close to beng a good NFL team. They played well against a tough veteran Patriots team last Sunday. The Vikings, on the other hand, are struggling. Brad Johnson seems to be fading and their special teams play leaves a lot to be desired. If the Lions can take advantage of the home field crowd, which is a big if in Ford Field, they can win this one. More importantly, Detroit needs to rattle Johnson early and shut down Chester Taylor. We think they will.

PAST WEEK'S DETROIT LIONS TICKETS DETROIT LIONS (2-9) TICKETS AT NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (8-3) 1 p.m., Sunday Gillette Field
After the turkey the Lions were forced to eat on Thanksgiving, going to New England to take on the Patriots is like adding injury to insult. This is still a team trying to find an identity. Lions fans are hoping they can find it without Matt Millen. But any team that has Mike Martz as its offensive coordinator still has a shot. If there’s anyone in the NFL that can confuse a Brian Billichick defense it’s Martz. So buck up Lions fans, there’s only five more games and Millen could be in the unemployment line before long.

The annual Thanksgiving Day game in Detroit should be a good one. The Lions are looking more and more like a real NFL team while the Dolphins seem poised to repeat their late season surge ala 2005. You can't discount the home field advantage Detroit carries into this game. For many fans in the Motor City, the Thanksgiving pilgrimage to watch the Lions is the most important game of the year and the stadium will be pumped up. Thanksgiving in Detroit is one of the great NFL traditions. This is the Detroit Lions playoff game. Look for then to shine.

PAST WEEK'S DETROIT LIONS TICKETS SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (2-5) AT DETROIT LIONS (4-2) TICKETS 1 p.m., Sunday Ford Field
The Detroit Lions shocked the NFL world with a win over the hottest team in the league, the Atlanta Falcons, last Sunday. They’ll need to cool off Frank Gore of the 49ers to win this one. Back to back wins at Ford Field would be a nice gift to Detroit fans and the Lions are in position to do it. This is a team that’s getting better every week and now is the time to prove it. Roy Williams is starting to live up to his draft status and Kitna is as steady as they come so the Lions look good for another “W” here.

Hey, wasn’t it nice to host a Super Bowl? The Tigers sure had a good year but it was a shame they lost the World Series. Fans in Detroit are trying to think about anything but this week’s contest against the Falcons. Look at the bright side. Ford Field will play host to what may be the hottest team in the NFC right now. Yes, the Bears are 7-0, but they don’t have the NFL’s most exciting player in Michael Vick. Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions

Yes, the Lions are 0-2, but look who they’ve lost to. Seattle, the defending NFC
champion, snuck past Detroit in Week 1. Last week, it was the defending NFC
North champion Chicago Bears that disposed of the Lions. This isn’t a bad
football team that first-year head coach Marty Mornhinweg has assemble and
sooner than later that talent is going to start paying dividends in W’s.
The Motor City will be roaring this Sunday in hopes of seeing the Lions throttle
on the reeling Green Bay Packers.
