Houston Texans Tickets - Banged Up but Still Alive
Texans tickets got off to their first 2-0 start in September and Houston looks
like a real team. Injuries have taken their toll but haven't taken the heart out
of the team. Even the narrow loss to the Colts (30-24) was a good sign for the
Texans. Now if the can get Andre Johnson back healthy they can go on tear.
Hot Texans
Matt Schaub - Schaub has been everything the Texans hoped for. He's completed
74% of his passes and has shown toughness in the pocket. 5 touchdowns and over
1,000 yards passing and the season is still young.
Jerome Mathis - Mathis is giving Houston a dangerous return game. His touchdown
on the opening kickoff against Indy gave the Texans a big lift. 30 yards a
return means Houston gets good field position for a battered offense.
Best Texans Tickets in October
The Texans will get easy picking when Miami comes to town Oct. 7th. Circle Oct.
21st on your calendar and get Texans tickets for the game against Jacksonville.
This key divisional matchup will be yardstick for measuring Houston's chances in
the AFC South.
Houston Texans Tickets – They’re Hot! - Houston football tickets
1) Let’s Roll: Houston Texans tickets haven’t delivered a winning season. Yet.
That could very well change in the 2007 NFL season. The Texans won two of their
last three and finished on a roll in 2006.
2) Quarterback Matt Schaub: The Texans dumped David Carr and got Matt Schaub
from Atlanta. The strong-armed Schaub gives the Texans offense a boost where
they needed it the most.
3) Running Back Ahman Green: Schaub will have the benefit of a quality running
back behind him. Green is a proven ball carrier and anxious to prove the Packers
were wrong for letting him go.
4) The Texans Defensive Line: After shocking the NFL with the pick of Mario
Williams last season, Texans ticket holders will reap the benefit of a solid
defensive line once 2007 #1 Draft Choice Amobi Okoye hits the field. The pick
gives Houston bookend pass rushers to slow down the Colts.
5) Head Coach Gary Kubiak: One thing you can say about Kubiak is that he knows
offense. Expect Texans tickets to deliver plenty of it once Kubiak gets his
players.
6) The Texans Defense: Featuring DeMeco Ryans and Morlon Greenwood, the Texans
defense will be younger and better in 2007. They’ll have to be. Texans ticket
holders are looking forward to bigger and brighter things in the future.
7) Colts-Texans Tickets: Let’s face it. You never know how your team rates until
you play the defending Super Bowl Champion. Peyton Manning and the Colts visit
in Week 3, Sept. 23rd.
8) Jaguars-Texans Tickets: The Jacksonville Jaguars, another member of the AFC
South, come to Reliant Stadium Dec 30th to close out the season in what’s sure
to be one of the biggest games of the year.
9) Titans-Texans Tickets: Houston Texans Ticket holders cheered when Vince Young
beat them on an overtime run in 2006. Don’t you think they’ll be packing Reliant
Stadium for the rematch?
10) The Potential: In 2007 Houston Texans tickets have the potential to deliver
the Texans best season ever. This is not the same old Texans team. Gary Kubiak
has cast off the old and embraced the new.
Houston Texans tickets are rising in value for fans of the team that had the
first overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. Houston did not hit the lottery to
earn this honor of course. It was bestowed upon them for a frustrating 2-14
season in 2005-06. Perhaps no team in professional football needed a shot in the
arm more than the Texans and they got that and more during a very busy
off-season that saw needs addressed on all sides of the ball.
The only solace for NFL fans in Houston last year was that their team had won
the Reggie Bush sweepstakes by finishing with the worst record in football. So
when it was announced that Houston selected 6-foot-7 defensive end Mario
Williams heads began to shake all over the Lone Star state. However, the Texans’
brass did a bit more thinking than they were given credit for. Houston’s defense
allowed a league worst 431 points last season. This was due in large part to
their inability to get to the opposing team’s quarterback. But at 290 pounds,
the North Carolina State alum will offer a revitalized push from a defense
trying to settle in to a 4-3 style this year.
Texans fans will see more than just a strong draft class, which includes
310-pound Miami Hurricane tackle Eric Winston in Reliant Stadium this year. The
Texans hired
Denver Broncos Offensive Coordinator Gary Kubiak as only their second head
coach in team history. Kubiak, a former backup to John Elway in the 1980s in
Denver, steered the Bronco’s offense to two
Super
Bowl wins. His offensive schemes and motivational prowess are just what the
doctor ordered to turn around a Houston team that has never lacked talent but
needed cohesion.
Houston Texans tickets are back, bringing with a team that has a new look. Fans
will see Texans’ QB David Carr continue to develop in an offense that features
two of the more athletic wide outs in the AFC in Andre Johnson and Jabar Gaffney
who combined for close to 120 catches last season. With these weapons at Carr’s
disposal, combined with the new blood dedicated to a defensive improvement, fans
can look for a turn around just in time.
THIS WEEK'S HOUSTON TEXANS (5-10) TICKETS
HOUSTON TEXANS (5-10) VS. CLEVELAND BROWNS (4-11) TICKETS
1:00 p.m., Sunday
Reliant Stadium
The Houston Texans did the unimaginable last week when they put the beat down on Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. This week they face a lesser opponent in QB Derek Anderson and the Cleveland Browns. The Texans need to come down off the high of beating the Goliath of their division and focus on ending their season on a high note at home against the Browns. It’s certainly an accomplishable feat.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: RB Ron Dayne is finally living up to the potential everyone thought he had all those years ago.

THIS PAST WEEK'S HOUSTON TEXANS (4-10) TICKETS
HOUSTON TEXANS (4-10) VS. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (11-3 NOW) TICKETS
1:00 p.m., Sunday
Reliant Stadium
The Texans season may be over, but that doesn't mean they can't play spoiler to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The Colts can't stop anyone on the ground and Houston's three-headed monster at running back should be able to knock back the defensive line all day. The Texans may be out of the post-season, but this is still a dangerous team for the Colts.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: RB Ron Dayne or Wali Lundy should be able to run all day. Take your pick.

PAST WEEK'S HOUSTON TEXANS (4-9) TICKETS
HOUSTON TEXANS (4-9) AT NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (9-4) TICKETS
1:00 p.m., Sunday
Gillette Stadium
The Texans have a tough road ahead of them. One week after a loss to division rival Tennessee, they head to Foxboro to take on the Patriots, who will be looking for revenge after being shut out my Miami. The Texans have struggled all year long, and this game will be no different for them. The Dolphins showed that the Patriots have some weaknesses, and the key to winning this game will be the Houston defense. They have to keep Tom Brady from getting into a rhythm if they want to stand a chance.
ABCTickets.com NFL Prediction: New England Patriots 24, Houston Texans 14
(Last Week: 9-7/Season: 116-67)
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: WR Andre Johnson is the most talented offensive player on this team. That’s not saying much, though.
ABCTickets.com is here to take you all the way to the playoffs with our large inventory of NFL football tickets, our expert predictions and our fantasy football tickets to victory.
PAST WEEK'S HOUSTON TEXANS (4-8) TICKETS
HOUSTON TEXANS (4-8) VS. TENNESSEE TITANS (5-7) TICKETS
1:00 pm, Sunday
Reliant Stadium
The Texans managed a win last week over the Raiders, and now look to take on the Tennessee Titans at home. Both teams are coming off a win, the only difference is that the Titans beat the 10-2 Indianapolis Colts and the Texans beat the 2-10 Oakland Raiders. But a win is a win, and last week should boost QB David Carr and Texans' confidence. They have a chance to win this game if they can shut down Tennessee's rookie QB Vince Young. They also need a vast improvement in performance from their own QB. If Carr can keep it together, the Texans just might pull it out.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: If you have to start a Texan, make it PK Kris Brown, he had three field goals last week.

PAST WEEK'S HOUSTON TEXANS (3-8) TICKETS
HOUSTON TEXANS (3-8) AT OAKLAND RAIDERS (2-9) TICKETS
4:05 pm, Sunday
McAfee Coliseum
A meeting of NFL powerhouses the Texans vs. the Raiders is not. But, this should be a good game between two pretty evenly matched teams. The Texans defense keeps improving with DeMeco Ryans and Mario Williams, and David Carr has shown that he can lead the offense with some success. They take on a Raiders team that has shown it can play some offense themselves in the past couple weeks. Both of these teams have the ability to win this game. But Houston is simply the better team. Not good, but better than the Raiders.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: Let QB David Carr air it out over Oakland. (Last week: WR Andre Johnson, 10 catches for 98 yards, 1 TD)

PAST WEEK'S HOUSTON TEXANS (3-7) TICKETS
HOUSTON TEXANS (3-7) AT NEW YORK JETS (5-5) TICKETS 1:00 p.m., Sunday Giants Stadium at the Meadowlands
This week the Texans travel to the big city to take on the New York Jets. At first glance, this matchup may not look like much, but we think it will be one of the best games of the week. Both these teams are better than their record indicates, especially the Texans. QB David Carr has developed into an effective passer, and the Texans defense is vastly improved by its star rookies Mario Willams and DeMeco Ryans. The Texans put up quite a fight against Buffalo last week, and will do it again this week in the Meadowlands. Chad Pennington better be on his guard, Mario Williams is coming for him.
ABCTickets.com NFL Prediction: New York Jets 21, Houston Texans 20
(Last Week: 9-7/Season 91-54)
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: QB David Carr has earned a spot in your starting lineup. (Last week: Samkon Gado, 10 carries for 69 yards, 1 TD)

PAST WEEK'S HOUSTON TEXANS (3-6) TICKETS
HOUSTON TEXANS (3-6) VS. BUFFALO BILLS (3-6) TICKETS
1 pm, Sunday
Reliant Stadium
For the second time this year, the Texans put the hurt on division rivals Jacksonville, and are riding high in the saddle as they take on the Buffalo Bills. Reliant Stadium will look like the Wild West as these two struggling teams try to right their seasons with a win. These teams are pretty evenly matched, and this looks to be a good one. The Texans defense came up big last week with four interceptions, and running back Samkon Gado looks to be back and healthy. We like the Bills in this matchup, but aren't counting out the Texans entirely. They surprised us last week, and could very well do it again.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: Remember what RB Samkon Gado did for Green Bay last year. He's back healthy in Houston. (Last week: Wali Lundy, 16 carries, 34 yards, 1 TD)

HOUSTON TEXANS (2-6) AT JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (5-3) TICKETS
1:00 p.m., Sunday
Alltel Stadium
Last week, the Houston Texans held the top-ranked New York Giants to a mere 14 points, and had the lead, for a good part of the game. David Carr and the Texans want a win so badly they can taste it, and they're playing like it, too. This week they head to division rival Jacksonville who have won two straight. They'd best not sleep on the Texans, this team is capable of upsetting any team in the NFL. The Jaguars' tough defense will be an obstacle for Carr and company, but Jacksonville's less-than-stellar offense can certainly be roped up by the quickly improving Texans defense. Standout rookie DeMeco Ryans leads the Texans offense every week in tackles, and number one overall draft pick Mario Williams is becoming the impact player that fans knew he would be. The Texans won their first meeting with the Jaguars, and they fully believe they have the Jags' number. Look out, Jacksonville!
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: This is a tough matchup for the Texans, but we're sticking with RB Wali Lundy. (Last week: Lundy, 20 carries for 43 yards)

HOUSTON TEXANS (2-4) AT TENNESSEE TITANS (1-5) TICKETS
1:00 p.m., Sunday
LP Field
How about those Texans? We told you before they were getting better every week. Last week they proved us right by dominating the Jacksonville Jaguars in an AFC South divisional battle. This week they face another division foe in the Tennessee Titans. The Texans' offense is now running on all cylinders, with David Carr and Andre Johnson attacking with full force. The Texans will be shooting for another division win, but gamebreaker QB Vince Young might have something to say about that. The Titans are also getting better every week, and won't go down without a fight. These two teams are pretty evenly matched, and this should be a great game.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: WR Andre Johnson is proving himself to be one of the NFL's elite receivers this year. (Last Week: Johnson - 8 receptions for 106 yards, 1 TD)

PAST WEEK'S HOUSTON TEXANS TICKETS
HOUSTON TEXANS (1-3) AT DALLAS COWBOYS (2-2) TICKETS
1 p.m., Sunday
Texas Stadium
Get ready for some inter-state rivalry action as the two teams from Texas face off this week. The Houston Texans, freshly rested from their bye, and reinvigorated by their win over Miami, certainly won’t roll over for their neighbors, the Dallas Cowboys. David Carr seems to have hit his stride this year, putting up monster yardage totals week after week, despite his young and inexperienced team. You can bet Mario Williams is licking his chops at the prospect of facing off against Drew Bledsoe, one of the most sackable quarterbacks in the league. Super Mario is ready to prove his worth as the number one overall draft pick, and you can bet he will show up this week in Dallas. Will it be enough though?
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: QB David Carr (Last Week: Houston bye)

HOUSTON TEXANS VS. MIAMI DOLPHINS TICKETS
1 p.m., Sunday
Reliant Stadium
Don’t give up on the Texans just yet. There’s definitely some talent on this team. Wide receiver Andre Johnson continues to put up big numbers, with over 150 receiving yards last week against the Redskins. David Carr certainly has the tools to win, and the Dolphins are struggling, narrowly beating out Tennessee last week. This very well could be a surprise win for Houston.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: Wide receiver Andre Johnson is Houston’s best chance. (Last Week: David Carr, 19 of 29, 208 yards, 2 TD, 1 Int)

Houston Texans vs. Washington Redskins
1 p.m., Sunday
Reliant Stadium
The Texans are coming off two straight losses, but this team still has the tools
to pull out an upset on any given Sunday. Running backs Wali Lundy and Ron Dayne
can provide the ground attack to open up the the field for David Carr and Andre
Johnson to take to the air with a rapidly improving passing game. With Clinton
Portis still struggling with a shoulder injury, Mario Williams will have the
opportunity to show the NFL that he really is worthy to be the number one
overall pick.
ABCTickets.com NFL Prediction: Redskins 28, Texans 13
(Last week: 13-3/Season: 33-9)
Fantasy football ticket to victory: Texan quarterback David Carr. (Last week:
Andre Johnson, 4 receptions, 56 yards, 1 touchdown)
