You don't want to make Glenn Dorsey mad, so take our advice and pick out your
2008 Kansas City Chiefs tickets immediately. Dorsey, the Chiefs' top draft pick,
has arrived at Arrowhead Stadium to make life miserable for opposing offenses.
The mammoth defensive tackle will be setting up shop in the middle of the
Chiefs' defense, daring running backs to come across his path.
At LSU, Dorsey punched the Tigers ticket to the 2008 BCS National Championship.
He was simply one of the most domination players in all of college football.
There doesn't appear to be any signs that they will change in the NFL.
But Dorsey's not the only reason football fans are gobbling up 2008 Kansas City
Chiefs tickets. Prolific running back Larry Johnson suffered through an
injury-plagued 2007 NFL season, but still managed to lead the Chiefs in rushing.
You can bet Johnson will be itching to make up for lost time in 2008.
With Johnson drawing the attention of defenses, the passing game should open up
for young quarterback Brodie Croyle, who, in his second season, appears poised
to take over the reigns of the Chiefs' offense.
Out of Alabama, Croyle saw ample action his rookie season and showed signs of a
bright future. He completed better than 56 percent of his passes, including six
touchdowns. Croyle will have the benefit of a talented receiving corps to
distribute the football to.
All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez is headed for the NFL Hall of Fame, after his
illustrious career comes to an end. But Gonzalez doesn't seem to be slowing down
as his career reaches its twilight. The pass-catching machine out of California
led the Chiefs in receiving again last season, pulling in 99 passes for 1,172
yards and five touchdowns.
But defenses cannot afford to double-team Gonzalez too often. That's because
second-year receiver Dwayne Bowe displayed the ability to be a dynamic playmaker
during his stellar rookie season. Bowe, out of LSU, was the Chiefs' top draft
pick in 2007 and quickly became a fan favorite around Arrowhead Stadium.
He caught 70 passes for 995 yards and tied Gonzalez with a team-high five
touchdown receptions. 2008 Kansas City Chiefs ticket holders are looking for
even bigger things out of Bowe this year.
With Dorsey, Johnson, Gonzalez and Bowe leading the charge, there is nowhere to
go but up for 2008 Kansas City Chiefs tickets. Make sure you there to see the
Chiefs make their run.
TOP 10 REASONS TO BUY KANSAS CITY CHIEFS TICKETS
10. Loud and louder: Arrowhead Stadium, the home of the Chiefs since 1972, is
possibly the loudest outdoor stadium in the NFL due to the exuberance of Chiefs
fans. It is sometimes called The Red Sea. Kansas City Chiefs tickets are your
entry to this incredible football environment.
9. Herm Edwards: No NFL head coach is more intense than the Chiefs' Herm
Edwards, who is also famous for this sound bite: "You play to win the game!"
Edwards previously coached the New York Jets and played defensive back for the
Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta Falcons.
8. Fever pitch: Expectations are sky high in Kansas City as the Chiefs are
coming off a 2006 playoff appearance. With plenty of returning talent such as
All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez, the Chiefs have even higher aspirations in
2007.
7. Tradition: Few teams can match the winning tradition of the
Chiefs, who captured AFL championships in 1962 and 1966 and the Super Bowl in
1969. They have won eight divisional championships.
6. Lamar Hunt's legacy: Legendary owner Lamar Hunt, an NFL pioneer, died in 2006
and the franchise will honor him throughout this season and beyond. His son,
Clark Hunt, is the spokesman for ownership of the Chiefs.
5. Tony G: Tight end Tony Gonzalez is a freak of nature who also could have
played pro basketball. Entering the 2007 season, Gonzalez had 721 career
receptions for 8,710 yards. He holds the Chiefs record with 61 touchdown
catches.
4. Legends: The Chiefs have placed a slew of players in the Pro
Football Hall of Fame, including quarterback Len Dawson, legendary coach Hank
Stram and lineman Buck Buchanan.
3. Mascot is great too: Kansas City Chiefs tickets are precious not just because
of the action on the field, but also the atmosphere off it. The team's mascot
until 1989 was the pinto horse named Warpaint. Then it was replaced by K.C.
Wolf, a man dressed in a wolf costume. K.C. Wolf was inducted into the Mascot
Hall of Fame in 2006.
2. Fierce rivalries: The Chiefs play in the brutal AFC West division, and are
engaged in some of the most heated rivalries in all of football. When the Chiefs
entertain the Oakland Raiders, Denver
Broncos or San Diego Chargers, it's a no-holds-barred atmosphere that cannot be
matched.
1. LJ: Running back Larry Johnson is worth the price of admission. He's a
bruising runner with the ability to take it the distance on every play. He has
amassed 40 touchdowns and more than 4,000 yards in his last two seasons.
We've got your Chiefs playoff tickets for the first-round showdown with
Peyton Manning and the Colts and any future Chiefs playoff tickets that might be
necessary. After missing the postseason last year, we know every Chief fan is
hungry to root on Larry Johnson against the Colts. You've come to the right
place to find your Chiefs-Colts tickets.
How the Kansas City Chiefs earned their NFL Playoff tickets
After losing starting quarterback Trent Green early in the season, the Chiefs
struggled out of the games and got off to a 2-3 start. Herman Edwards' club
wasn't given much of a chance to reach the postseason. But backup quarterback
Damon Huard kept Kansas City afloat, while Green got healthy. And running back
Larry Johnson was spectacular, leading the AFC in rushing and setting an NFL
record for carrying in a season. The durable back finished with 1878 yards and
17 touchdowns.
Green would return for the stretch run, helping the Chiefs squeak into the
playoffs with a Week 17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
What the Chiefs have to do to earn their Super Bowl XLI tickets
The Kansas City defense will need to tighten up if the Chiefs are going to go on
a playoff run. The offense can help out a lot by staying on the field with long,
time-consuming drives. Look for the Chiefs to give their opponents a steady dose
of Larry Johnson. But quarterback Trent Green will have to show that he's
willing to throw the ball down the field to prevent defenses from ganging up on
Johnson. The lack of a true big-play receiver has been a problem for coach
Herman Edwards' offense all season. Hopefully for Chiefs fans, Eddie Kennison or
Sammy Parker will rise to the occasion. Of course, Green's favorite target,
All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzales, needs to have a major impact if the Chiefs are
to end up in Miami for Super Bowl XLI.
Kansas City Chiefs tickets are again the pass to storied Arrowhead Stadium for
the faithful of this perennial AFC West contender. KC won all but one of their
home games last season as part of a 10-6 year. The next level for the Chiefs was
viewed by management to be attainable only by change. The Chiefs did not have
too much trouble scoring last year with a running game envied by most of the
league. The trouble lay in stopping their opponents from running up the score. A
defensive minded coach and a ton of fresh talent for him to mold were now in
order. The first problem was taken care of by inking Herm Edwards to coach the
Chiefs. The second problem was addressed in the NFL Draft.
With their first pick, the Chiefs saw a pure football player in DE Tamba Hali
from
Penn State still available at the 20th pick. Hali, a 6-3 275 lb pass rusher,
comes off the corner like he was shot and does not stop his pursuit to the ball
until the whistle blows. Hali was spotlighted by many teams with mid to late
picks in the first round and was a gift at the 20th pick. To further bolster a
lagging defense, Kansas City took safety Bernard Pollard at the 54th spot and
found corner Marcus Maxey from the
University of Miami in the fifth round.
On the offensive side of the ball quarterback Brodie Croyle of Alabama was taken
in the third round much to the chagrin of veteran Trent Green. Croyle is a fine
QB with solid mechanics and a history of big passes. But the cornerstone selling
Kansas City Chiefs tickets this year will be running back Larry Johnson. Johnson
has fully taken the reigns from Priest Holmes and is considered one of the top
three running backs on the entire league.
Buying Kansas City Chiefs tickets has never been a disappointment. The team
contends yearly in one of the most battled and rivalry driven divisions in the
NFL and with a new coach, and focus on the defensive side of the ball, the games
will be greater than ever. Veteran talent like Trent Green, Tony Gonzalez and
Dante Hall will be surrounded by a new crop of players eager to make their mark
on the Chiefs amazing tradition.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (7-7) AT OAKLAND RAIDERS (2-12) TICKETS

McAfee Coliseum
The Chiefs may have collapsed last week against the Chargers, but they're still in the hunt for the post season. They have to go into Oakland and win, though. That hasn't been very difficult for anyone this season. Look for Larry Johnson and the Chiefs to keep their playoff hopes alive with a victory over the Raiders.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS TICKETS (7-6) AT SAN DIEGO CHARGERS (11-2)
8 pm, Sunday
Qualcomm
The Kansas City Chiefs absolutely have to have this one. To do it, they’ll have to eliminate the turnovers and hope they can get Larry Johnson on a roll. Against a tough Chargers defense that’s easier said than done. An even bigger task is stopping LaDainian Tomlinson, something no opponent has been able to do yet. Tomlinson is shattering the record books and San Diego is the class of the NFC. Herm Edwards ball club will have to play their best game of the decade to win this one but we just don’t see it happening. The Chiefs gave up big plays against the Ravens and Baltimore’s offense doesn’t have near the weapons that San Diego can bring to the table.
ABCTickets.com NFL Prediction: San Diego Chargers 30, Kansas City Chiefs 21 (Last Week: 9-7/Season 116-67)
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: Expect a lot of Larry Johnson and not much of anything else.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS TICKETS (7-5) AT BALTIMORE RAVENS (9-3)
1 pm, Sunday
M & T Bank Stadium
The Chiefs have one of the best running backs in football in Larry Johnson. The Ravens have one of the best defenses ever. The two collide on Sunday in Baltimore. We’ve got a sneaky feeling that Larry Johnson can run against this Baltimore defense. If he can just keep them honest, Trent Green can find some receivers and keep Steve McNair off the field. Bit it won’t be easy. Both teams are fighting for momentum heading nito the playoffs so expect a good game.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: You’d have to be nuts not to play Larry Johnson if he’s on your roster. (Last Week: Larry Johnson – 28 carries, 110 yards)

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (7-4) AT CLEVELAND BROWNS (3-8)
1 pm, Sunday
Cleveland Browns Stadium
The Chiefs just coming off an emotional win in Kansas City on Thanksgiving. Larry Johnson looks unstoppable. Trent Green looks like he never left. Yes NFL fans, the Chiefs have regained their footing in the AFC West. Kansas City is playing for at least a Wild Card spot. The Browns are just playing out the string. It’s hard to imagine what Larry Johnson is going to do to the Browns defense. It won’t be pretty unless you live in K.C.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: You’d have to be nuts not to play Larry Johnson if he’s on your roster. (Last Week: Larry Johnson – 34 carries, 157 yards, 1 TD)

DENVER BRONCOS (7-3) AT KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (6-4) TICKETS
8 p.m., Thursday
Arrowhead Stadium
The Chiefs held things together while starting quarterback Trent Green was on the shelf. Now, Green is back, and the Chiefs are looking to make a run toward the NFL Playoffs. They can take a gigantic step forward on Thanksgiving night, as their AFC rivals, the Denver Broncos, visit Arrowhead Stadium. The Broncos are coming off of a disappointing loss to San Diego and surely will be in a foul mood when they arrive to take on the Chiefs. Mike Shananahan's Broncos won't feel much better on the plane back to Denver.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (5-4) VS. OAKLAND RAIDERS (2-7) TICKETS
1 pm, Sunday
Arrowhead Stadium
The Chiefs were just starting to roll when they were shut down by Miami last week. They're still in the hunt in the AFC for a playoff spot though, and a win over Oakland this week will help a lot. There really isn't a better matchup for Larry Johnson than against the hapless Raiders at home in Arrowhead Stadium. We imagine that the Chiefs' game plan will be to feed the ball to Larry Johnson over and over again, and let him run down the Raiders and run out the clock. If you want to see a great running game, this is the game for you. The Chiefs need this win to keep their playoff hopes alive, and we don't think they'll have any trouble getting it.
Fantasy Football ticket to victory: Is there even a debate? Start RB Larry Johnson. (Last week: Johnson, 18 carries for 75 yards, 1 TD)

PAST WEEK'S KANSAS CITY CHIEFS TICKETS KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (5-3) AT MIAMI DOLPHINS (2-6) TICKETS 1 p.m., Sunday Dolphins Stadium
The Kansas City Chiefs are starting to make a push. They knocked off the Rams last week with an impressive win on the road. Their travels continue as they make their way down to Florida to take on the Dolphins. But wait, these 2-6 fish just beat the mighty Bears. And they did it in fine fashion at Soldier Field. Is Nick Saban’s crew getting ready to make another late season run? The Chiefs will be running Larry Johnson at a Miami defense that been carrying the team. The Chiefs might be running into buzzsaw here but we don’t think so. br> ABCTickets.com NFL Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs 28, Miami Dolphins 20

1 p.m., Sunday
Arrowhead Stadium
After a slow start, the Chiefs appear to have turned things around. The offense, led by Larry Johnson and tight end Tony Gonzales, was firing on all cylinders in last week's upset of San Diego. The win also put the Chiefs back in thick of the AFC West race. But there's still a long way to go for coach Herman Edwards' team. And it starts this week with a visit from the defending NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks, who will be without reigning NFL MVP Shaun Alexander and Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.

PAST WEEK'S KANSAS CITY CHIEFS TICKETS SAN DIEGO CHARGERS (4-1) AT KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (2-3) TICKETS
1 p.m., Sunday
Arrowhead Stadium
There may not be a more disappointing team in the NFL than coach Herman Edwards’ Chiefs. Surely, with All-Pro running back Larry Johnson at his disposal, Edwards could figure out how to kick-start the Chiefs’ offense.
Maybe it will take the return of quarterback Trent Green for the Chiefs to turn things around. But by the time Green, who is out with a concussion, returns it might be too late.
Things need to turn around in Kansas City immediately, but it won’t be easy with the Chargers coming to town.
