2006-07 Boston Bruins ticket and team info
The
Boston Garden may be known as the TD Banknorth Garden these days, but it's
still one of the best arenas for professional hockey around. Boston Bruins
tickets are always at a premium, for when the team takes the ice it's guaranteed
to be a great game. Conveniently located in Boston's North End, the Garden is
just minutes away from all of Boston's historic and fascinating attractions,
including Faneuil Hall, the New England Aquarium, Quincy Market, and the
beautiful Boston Common. Make sure you check out the sights in one of America's
great historic cities before you check out one of America's great historic
hockey teams. The Bruins have won five Stanley Cups in their history, and this
year may bring yet another.
The Star
Fans are hoping that towering Slovak defenseman Zdeno Chara will be the Boston
Bruins ticket to the post-season. At 6' 9", Chara is the tallest player in the
NHL. Through the years, he has represented his native Slovakia in five World
Championships and one World Cup. As the Bruins' captain this season, Big Z's
task will be to get the many new faces on the team on the same page, and working
together as a well-oiled machine. The Bruins have the talent, they just need to
gel as a unit, and they will go far into the post-season.
The Coach
The pressure to win falls squarely on the shoulders of former Red Wings
defenseman and new Bruins head coach Dave Lewis. Lewis led the Red Wings to a
President's Trophy, but has yet to experience much success in the playoffs. With
the fresh-faced Bruins, all that should change. Known as an-all-around nice guy
throughout the league, Lewis has the leadership skills to whip this team into
shape and teach his young players how to win again.
The Team
The offense is going to be the Bruins' ticket to the post-season this year, with
the players like Patrice Bergeron, Brad Boyes, and Marco Sturm ready to light up
scoreboards across the league. Center Marc Sevard had a breakout season last
time around with 97 points, and shows no sign of slowing down this season. Add
in Tim Thomas, who was terrific last year at goalie, and the Bruins look like
they have everything they need to get to the Stanley Cup Finals.
Boston Bruins info
Boston Bruins tickets are worth beating a path to the door of the Fleet Center
in 2005-2006. With the entire NHL world in upheaval, the Bruins have managed to
assemble a noteworthy crop of new names to join center Joe Thornton and winger
Sergei Samsonov on the ice. Bruins GM Mike O’Connel and head coach Mike Sullivan
have the talent on hand to compete for a Northeast Division title and a playoff
spot. With that in mind, Boston hockey fans are eyeing up Bruins tickets with
real interest.
Thornton is proving himself to be one of the better centers in the NHL. Good
size, aggressiveness, and the ability to put home the crucial goal make him an
essential part of the Bruins’ plans. While Sergei Samsonov has had his problems
with injuries, the long layoff also provided time for the talented forward to
get completely healthy in time for another season.
Defensively, Brian Leetch is lacing on the skates and providing solid play for
Boston. Rule changes now in affect lend themselves to Leetch’s talents and
should improve his scoring potential. Joining Leetch on the ice is the Bruins
’99 draft choice Nick Boynton. Boynton has developed well in three years and
looks ready to take it to the next level.
The franchise has given fans with Boston Bruins tickets plenty to cheer about
since 1924 with 62 playoff appearances and five Stanley Cups. Throw in another
24 division titles and it’s easy to see why the Boston Bruins have been drawing
fanatical NHL hockey fans for over 80 years. Boston Bruins tickets have also
provided the chance to see players like Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito, and Paul
Coffey. With a 2004 Northeast Division title to their credit, the Boston Bruins
probably aren’t far away from another Stanley Cup Final.
What’s not to like about Boston Bruins tickets? The 2005 Boston Bruins are
fielding a team with a solid mixture of coaching, experience, and youth. The
Fleet Center is the ideal venue for seeing NHL action. It’s been a long wait,
but the time has come to step up to the window and say “Bruins tickets.”
