Philadelphia Flyers ticket info for the 2006-07 season

Philadelphia fans love their Broad Street Bullies, even if the Philadelphia Flyers play a different style of hockey nowadays at the Wachovia Center. Philadelphia Flyers ticket holders have only seen their team take home the Stanley Cup twice in their long history in the City of Brotherly Love. Last season, they were the trendy pick to go all the way, but injuries crushed the fans' and the teams' hopes. This year the Flyers are back, and they're healthy, and Philly fans have something to cheer about once more.

The Star
Superstar center Peter Forsberg leads the Flyers on the ice as team captain this season. A member of the elite Triple Gold Club, the talented Swede has played in five All-Star Games, and won two Stanley Cups. Since he joined the Flyers in 2005, the team's stock among critics and fans shot up, and Philadelphia Flyers tickets began selling like hotcakes. He's the key to the Flyers success, and if he remains healthy all season, Philadelphia's offense will be one of the best in the NHL.

The Coach
Head Coach Ken Hitchcock is quite simply one of the best hockey coaches around. Armed with a new contract extension, you can bet Hitch won't settle for another early exit from the playoffs. The always-enthusiastic Philly fans love him for speaking his mind after being blown-out by the Sabres last year and trust him to right the ship this year. They want and deserve nothing less than the Stanley Cup, in Hitchcock's mind. He'll drive his players the distance to get there.

The Team
With Philadelphia Flyers tickets, you'll get to see some of the best hockey in the NHL. The Atlantic Division is perhaps the toughest in the NHL, and hockey fans won't be left wanting for great games. Forsberg's early return from his injury is very exciting, but perhaps even better was Antero Niittymaki's performance at goalie in Torino. Niittymaki is one of the best in the league, and the Flyers are lucky to have him at goalminder. They have the tools they need to take the Cup. All they need to do is stay healthy. Show your support with Philadelphia Flyers tickets this season and you won't be sorry!

Philadelphia Flyers team info for the 2005-06 NHL season

The Philadelphia Flyers will look to rebound from their Eastern Conference Finals defeat over a year ago by the Tampa Bay Lightning and have high hopes of doing so with the additions of Peter Forsberg and Derian Hatcher. The Flyers drafted Forsberg in 1991 but traded him to Quebec for Eric Lindros in the huge and somewhat infamous deal which created nothing but problems for the Flyers in the late 90's with Lindros' major disagreements with General Bob Clarke (hockey great and hall of famer). Since the original trade Forsberg was a seven-time All-Star and the league's most valuable player with the Colorado Avalanche in 2003. Hatcher also adds much needed depth at defense for the Flyers and will allow them to bump and bang with the best in the NHL. These two additions with the already strong Flyers offense and defense will make flyers tickets some of the toughest NHL hockey tickets to find this season, get them now before it's too late as the Flyers make their way to a Stanley Cup Final!

Flyers Factoid: The Flyers nickname, "The Broad Street Bullies" comes from a combination of their location on the intersection of Broad street and Pattison street in Philadelphia and their propensity for mixing it up in and winning great hockey fights in the Mid-70's with one of the best hockey fighters of all time, Dave "The Hammer" Schultz. Not only were the flyers teams of the 70's good at fighting they also won two NHL Stanley Cups in 1974 and 1975, quite an achievement for the Bullies!

Teeth hurt? Can’t afford to go to a dentist? Well, the best way (and cheapest!) to get your teeth knocked out is to go see the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wachovia Center in the heart of Philadelphia, PA. See the puck-flying, non-stop action of Jeff Carter, Peter Forsberg, Simon Gagne and the rest of the Philadelphia Flyers. Led by head coach Ken Hitchcock, the Philadelphia Flyers are sure to have an exciting year. But you got to hurry, because Philadelphia Flyers tickets go quicker than the skates of Simon Gagne!

One of the superstars of the Philadelphia Flyers is Jeff Carter. Born in London, Ontario, this guy is no stranger to the ice. In 2004-05 alone, he recorded 34 goals and 40 assists for 74 points and 40 penalty minutes in 55 regular season games in the Ontario Hockey League. Phrases like “Smartest Player” and “Hardest Shot” come to mind with this all-star player. Talent like Jeff Carter’s couldn’t be wasted so in 2005 the Philadelphia Flyers snatched him up hoping to mold this talented, eager 20-year- old into a primetime hockey superstar.

Another good reason to buy Philadelphia Flyers tickets is to see the agile, spectacular performance of Joni Pitkanen. Pitkanen was born in Oulu, Finland where Finish boys sleep with their hockey sticks. Often the “go-to” man when time is running out, Pitkanen steps up to the plate to lead the Flyers to success. In a game against the Bruins, Pikanen helped the Flyers win their seventh-straight home game by tying the game late in regulation and then winning it in overtime. Other players know that Pitkanen is a force to be reckoned with and to stay out of his way.

Based in the city of Brotherly Love known for the Liberty Bell, Rocky, cheese steak sandwiches, Will Smith and cream cheese, a Philadelphia Flyers hockey game at the Wachovia Center is just another great activity available in the great city of Philadelphia, PA. All you diehard Philadelphia hockey fans better hurry now and get your Philadelphia Flyers tickets while they are still available!
