U.S. Open tennis information
U.S Open tennis tickets are as good as it gets. You’re in
New York where the
lights are bright and the city never sleeps. The action takes place in the USTA
National Tennis Center at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing Meadows, which just
happens to be one of the finest tennis facilities in the world, and on the court
below, you’ve got the greatest tennis players in the world laying everything on
the line. Now let’s see, why were you waiting to line up your U.S. Open tickets?
Maybe you’ve forgotten all what happened at the 2005 U.S. Open. Let’s start with
the men’s quarterfinals. Jeff Blake and Andre Agassi meet up, and it looks like
Blake, fresh off a four set win over French Open Champion Rafael Nadal, looks
like he may have a shot at upsetting the veteran Agassi. Agassi is, after all,
35 years old and tennis is a young man’s game. But in case you’ve forgotten,
Agassi was appearing in his 20th U.S. Open and he’s learned a few tricks along
the way. After losing the first two sets 3-6, 3-6, Agassi fights back, using his
veteran experience to capture the next two sets, then spanks the youngster with
a fifth set tiebreaker 7-6 to advance to the finals against Roger Federer.
Now Federer is playing good but not great tennis and it may be that old man
Aggasi could teach him a lesson too. In fact, Agassi and Federer split the first
two sets. But in an epic battle Federer proves the better man. His 6-3, 2-6, 7-6
(1), 6-1 win gives him another U.S Open win and makes him the first player in
the Open Era to capture both the U.S. Open and Wimbledon in consecutive years.
On the women’s side Venus Williams knocked off her own sister, then fell to Kim
Clijsters. Clijsters got a huge boost in confidence with the win and proceeded
to oust Maria Sharapova in the semifinals, and kept right on rolling, defeating
Mary Pierce to claim her first Grand Slam. Not bad for a young lady who wasn’t
even ranked in the top 100 early in the year.
Who’ll make their mark in the 2006 U.S. Open? Can Agassi, who never seems to
age, come back and claim the title? Or is Roger Federer still the king at Arthur
Ashe Stadium? Will U.S. Open tickets give American tennis fans a champion? How
about Venus and Serena? They’ve both claimed the title in the past. Are they
still a force at the U.S. Open? It really doesn’t matter. All you need to know
is this: U.S. Open tickets are the most highly demanded tennis tickets in the
country simply because they provide a chance to witness legendary players
compete in a tournament that has as much history and drama as any tennis
tournament in the world. It just doesn’t get any better than
New York City,
Arthur Ashe Stadium, and U.S. Open tickets.
